The Galloping Ghost

Harold Red Grange was called “The Galloping Ghost” because he seemed to disappear when his opponents were trying to tackle him.  Red Grange starred for the University of Illinois in 1923 and 1924 and was the captain of the 1925 team.  After leaving Illinois, he played with the Chicago Bears and was named to the first all-NFL team in 1931. Painted in acrylic on a 24 by 30 canvas.
