Michael B. Mossman was born in Alton, Illinois. He graduated from Alton High School. He was an athlete at St. Bernard College in Cullman, Alabama and served honorably with the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. Mr. Mossman graduated from Southern Illinois University  in Edwardsville. He later received a master's degree from the University of Oklahoma at Norman. Mr. Mossman spent thirty-three years in the fields of Elementary and Special Education. He was nominated for "Who's Who" among American Educators. He is an author and has written a series of novels under the heading of "Celestra's Universe." Mr. Mossman is also an accomplished artist as his work has been shown in several art displays. He and his wife, Barbara, have five grown children, and live in Edwardsville, Illinois.
